I have a Trade Proposal that probably both Teams say no but it would help both Teams if it happened.

1st Round Pick 2020 (4th Overall)
3rd Round Pick 2020 (62nd Overall)

Sorry, in what way does this help Detroit?
At 4 one of Rossi, Drysdale and Stutzle will be available.
Then they also give up their #1 centre.
I don't know who Hronka is. were you talking about Hronek? Because he's a top 4 defenceman.

Can you explain how the value difference between Larkin (A 1C in his own right) and Matthews is so high?

Like you’re asking Detroit to add a Top 5 pick and Top 4 Dman for not a huge upgrade.

That’s not even factoring in the cap difference.

Detroit will keep what they have here and not bother. I’m not trying too de-value Matthews or over-value Larkin. I am just saying the difference in their value is not as far as indicated in this post.

I do Agree Matthews value is higher than larkin, maybe by the 4th.

The reasons to get rid of Matthews are the same ones that other teams are weary of.

Namely a 10m contract, and seemingly wanting to hit free agency.

He's a great player, but det is invested in larkin, and building a team the right way. They're not ready to compete, so no trades for star players.
