Kessel is not a player the Habs should go after as their still rebuilding and Caufield will be an important piece in the rebuild.

I have to agree with Islandet Especially when they could sign Hoffman or Dadonov or both if price is right. Or for all the marbles go after Hall in FA and keep Carfield.

Phil Kessel coming off a point per game season didn’t get this much when he was traded to arizona. how the heck do you think he gets this much now after the horrible season he just had.

Big NO from MTL:

- Kessel shouldn't be near a young team.

- Caufield is one of the top players not yet in the NHL.

MTL will get a scoring winger by signing one, or by trading Domi, who is very good, but simply is too far down the depth chart at Centre.

Wgmj68 MTL won't trade it's drafts so why would they trade a young draft pick steal for an over the hill player?
