That would be tough to give up all that, but I would have to think an offer like that would be in Winnipeg's wheelhouse.

WPG can't sign top free agents, so a package like this might get it done. Steep price though.

A fair offer from oilers would be

Jets: Laine, 2020 1st round (10)

Oilers: RnH, bear, 2020 1st round (15), plus a prospect like samorukov or lavoie


Laine will demand 9m+ next year And isn't worth that much.

As a rental, the Jets wouldn't consider RNH for Laine. Just stop with the silliness. Yeah, Winnipeg would throw in a pick swap when giving up by far the most valuable player. Now that's a homer proposal. 😆

For the Montreal offers, we all know that Domi, Juulsen, Mete, etc. are Montreal's top players, but Montreal is a bad team. To all other teams those players are garbage.

These trade proposals for Laine are ones Chevy wouldn't consider. I think the that Habs should try and resign Domi themselves, see if these minor leaguers develop into NHL players and see if they can do something with those picks.
The Oiler offer is laughable.

Domi isn't the piece to get the conversation going around Laine, but he would be a good piece for WPG.
Also, being a habs fan, i wouldn't want to trade for Laine. It would cost too much and don't think he is worth it. Danault or Domi would be a good option for a #2C for WPG though.

If Winnipeg very want to sell laine they have a reason to do it if they really want to have the things that they want. They should accept to don’t trade I’m at his full value

If mtl don’t want to pay I think they should to sign Barzal for 9 or 10m. And trade danault and domi maybe caufield for pick or a sniper
Barzal can bring mtl to the playoff also it’s the good time to do it because in 4 years Weber, price, petry will be done

And pay 4 - 1st rounders on an Offer Sheet? If Point, Aho, Marner, Tkachuk etc sat there last summer and didn’t get those offer sheets, I doubt Barzal will. The price is just too steep. You could trade for a really good young forward who has a lower cap hit without giving up the equivalent of 4 1st rounders.
