Most Leaf deals are SO unbelievable because they over-estimate the value of their players and prospects.

This one seems reasonable though.

Bracco and Dermott have no real trade value, but Carolina is deep enough on D to consider moving Dougie (who is an enigma anyway) for a modestly better goalie in Andersen.

Murray is a UFA, so why bother trading for him? Also, will the leafs have cap space left to fill out a competitive NHL roster?

Between Hamilton's disappearing acts over long stretches and Murray's injury woes, I hope Dubas jumps on these moves.

Murray is an RFA. There’s rumours that the Penguins don’t have the space to qualify him so if they don’t trade him by next week, he could become a UFA for a short window. As of now, they have his rights till he’s 27 if they give him a QO by wednesday.

These values are not that close. Whatever negative value is perceived, Hamilton is a top pair D. Andersson is not a valuable piece to Carolina unless they're taking back mrazek and/ or reimer. Bracco no value.

Nylander for Hamilton would be a good starting point, maybe throw in johnsson (to free up more cap and sweeten the pot) .

Dermott and a 3rd don't get murray. Dermott hasn't proved value to anyone outside Toronto.

Goalie market is flooded, Murray hasn’t been great lately and the whole league knows Rutherford is on a deadline to trade him. Also the team that acquires him then has to sign him. Rutherford has been around long enough and is smart enough to know he’s not getting full value of a 26 year old with 2 cup rings.
