Konecny is signed for 5 more years at $5.5 which will help a lot during the flat cap times.

No Ebs, I would expect Chevy would be looking for a player that plays a position of need for the Jets, from everything they've said. Wing is the last thing Winnipeg needs.

Konecny is playing above his salary, he won't get more goals than laine, but probably cash up in assists. Plays a bit more of a defensive game. Laine has a high ceiling, but he has to get there.

I think konecny plus a small add is closer, but you're trading for "maybe" getting a50 goal player.

If any team trades for laine, they're banking on him being a40-50 goal scorer with the team.

He hasn't shown it'll come regularly, but he's shown he's capable, which is why jets fans are high on his value and others are low. The problem with "he can score 45/ year" is he has to do it to be it.

He’s a 37 goal scorer who hits 44 on good year and 30 on bad year. Nothin more or less really

Also a +8 to a -24 kind of guy. Yeah something I’d stay far away from until he matures. Kocecny is turning into Sean cotourier as he matures. rather that overall game vs a streaky scorer. That’s me though
