Terrible for Winnipeg. The Jets are giving up way too much to get stuck with a player they have no room for in Toews with his contract at full cap hit.

Is that a joke? Dach in Boqvist would be the top 2 prospects in jets history. That’s a future 1c and 1D for a 1 dimensional first line winger who I hesitate to call elite after the past 2 seasons. Not to mention getting a home town boy 3 time Stanley cup champion who could put up a fight against Schifele as 1c and make a top 3 1-2 C punch in the game. What a joke. These jets fans are high. I’m completely unbiased in this situation too as I’m not a fan of either the jets nor Blackhawks but I still see this is awful for the black hawks. If you’re the jets you accept this offer and then dump cap later.

I like the idea of toews being a target for a condensed schedule. I'm not sure this actually improves the jets that much this season. Dach and boqvist have to convince Maurice to put them in the lineup.

Chicago also is in rebuild mode, so laine would be more upset playing for a non contender. Also Chicago is one of the few other teams where he's clearly playing 2nd line.


I wonder if laine and statsny don't click (which they did before) maybe something around laine for kane.

Idk about value, altho i think this is def too much from chicago, this would spark uproar in Chicago espec after the rebuild message Bowman sent during last season. Trading your best two prospects who could easily be a 60-70 point center and a top2 dman, on top of Toews, the fan favorite center (albeit overpaid) would be too much for Chicago fans tbh.

The term is only 3 years which isn’t bad so I could see Chicago willing to retain. And Dach would absolutely be in the lineup lol I could see him overtaking Scheifele in a year or two.

Dach had a decent rookie season but it’s just a stint of what he can do imo. I see him as the next Getzalf.
