I don’t think the jets will be able to afford his services. They just got Stastny to allow Perfetti to develop. I think Perfetti will probably be ready next year. If laine gets dealt it’ll be for that top 2 defender. Maybe a Werenski, Jones, Hamilton if they decide to extend.

I understand what memarcus and island jet mean now. The team doesn’t need to trade laine. They’ll trade them for what the team needs. And that defence needs help.

I’m with you my guy. I don’t think laine is worth that price. I’m just saying that’s what they want. Sometimes you got to pay more for a player you want. They don’t need to trade laine. He’s just being thrown around to see what they can get.

A first line two way center on a reasonable 2 year contract for a 2nd line one dimensional RW on an expensive expiring contract who's expecting a big raise in a year's time at a time when the cap is flat?

Winnipeg would have to add a lot and probably retain some salary too.
