While I would like Laine on the team, I have a feeling Jets would say No based on value. It’s probably closer than they think but they would probably want a bigger add than Lindstrom on this.

Detroit would say No based on positional needs as we would likely prefer a Top 6 C or a change of scenery swap for another Defenseman close to Hronek’s caliber if we even move him.

We have plenty of wingers right now with Mantha, Zadina, Fabbri, Bertuzzi, Raymond, etc.

We need a Top 6 C or Top 4 Dman.

Given our current rebuilding position, I rather have Zadina and Hronek than just Laine.

Not discounting Laine’s abilities at all but with those two I have a Top 4 Dman and at the very least a 2nd line Winger (Zadina is proving himself and showing positive signs, so not eager to move him yet.
