Barzal fits in Columbus they play a similar style then the islanders and have the cap space to make it happen

Dubois seems like a great fit in the peg behind schiefle and pushes Stastny down to a better 3C role for him

Laine again plays in a good market they have pieces there to complement his game

As a base this should work, but Columbus would need to add something as they are giving up the least valuable player and getting the most valuable.

Barzal > Laine > Dubois.

This trade really doesn't help any of the 3 teams as they all fix one hole in their rosters but open another.

Barzal probably has the least value here since he doesn’t have a contract Laine gives the islanders a 40 goal scorer something that they don’t currently have and the peg (which I’m not a fan of) could use Dubois for center depth and he on a decent deal for the next two years.

Laine isn't a 40 goal scorer, he scored 44 goals ONCE. When people talk about a player being a 40 goal they mean he consistently scores 40 goals every year or averages 40/ yr over several years.

30 goal scorer? Sure, but he's not a consistent 40 goal scorer.
