Ottawa needs to keep and develop prospects not trade them all away. Not to mention all of these trades favour Ottawa especially the jets and Columbus trades.

The Jets don't need prospects or a protected draft pick for Laine as Winnipeg isn't rebuilding.

Batherson lit up the AHL. prob a top 10 pick in 2022 (Deep) Connor brown can play any line. Wolanin a top 4 D.

As for the Dubois trade you get a speedy winger that gets 2-3 breakaways a game that can play 2nd line. JBD projected top 2/ 3 Dman. And L. Brown if he hits his ceiling will be a fringe 1st liner. You forget that we are in a flat cap and teams also need to shed salary.

Wolanin is 25 with 43 GP and he’s a top 4? Feel like that’s probably not true. Lighting up the AHL isn’t a good metric when being traded for a guy that lit up the NHL. Pick could be maybe too 2 or 3 protected but not top 5 for Laine IMO.

Overpay for Laine, underpay for Dubois and the Wild can do better than that for overrated Dumba.
