Habs: Barkov

Fla : Habs 2021 and 2022 first found picks,
KK, and Caufield.

Barkov is not worth there best prospect in Caufield, Kotkaniemi whos young and decent and 2 1sts that could get the habs who stink btw really good young players.

15 Jan 2021 14:07:41
Barkov is worth more actually. @pens_87 you don’t watch hockey if you think Barkov has less value than that

15 Jan 2021 14:08:45
Sorry if I sounded harsh btw, I’ve watched a lot of Barkov. Also if you wanna get technical, look up his analytics

15 Jan 2021 14:22:27
No thanks. I really like Barkov, but not at that price.
I think a 1 2 punch of Suzuki, and KK at center could be really solid for the next decade.

Barkov is worth a lot. I'd take him over Dubois and probably Eichel too.

15 Jan 2021 16:51:01
Eichel is a big overstatement.

15 Jan 2021 18:02:56
@Nylander That's what most believe. However I believe Eichel is a little overrated and Barkov is very underrated so to me value is close.

16 Jan 2021 00:52:07
@moxnix I would too.

16 Jan 2021 02:24:50
Brasov is better then Eichel abs it’s not clost.

16 Jan 2021 16:07:36
I mean cole caufield is insane @NotACausual
and "Ive watched a lot if Barkov" But you haven't watched worl juniors lol.

16 Jan 2021 23:02:27
@pens_87 world juniors don’t mean squat. Look at Poehling, Puljujarvi and Mittelstadt. That’s a horrible way to value players lmao you do realize Caufield is 5’7 160lbs in a league where the average height is 6 foot. He’ll be a smaller, less skilled Gaudreau.

17 Jan 2021 12:21:54
A lot of people told 5'6 Theo Fleury he was too small to play in the NHL. He wasn't afraid to take a hit or to hit the biggest, meanest guy on the other team either.

17 Jan 2021 17:25:06
The NHL is different today than it was. If Gaudreau at 5’9 struggles come playoff time, then Caufield at 5’7 will also struggle. He hasn’t been that impressive to where he can pull in an established 1C

17 Jan 2021 18:27:11
Yeah, back in the day there was more hitting, harder hitting and far fewer hits were against the rules.

It's easier for smaller players now than it was then. On the other hand Fleury 180 lbs and exceptionally tough for a little guy.

17 Jan 2021 18:58:17
BTW, I'm not saying this would be a good trade. Caufield is a decent prospect but that's all he is. He's an addon, not a major component of a trade.

Suzuki (instead of KK) and the 2 picks might be enough to do it. I see him as a 2nd line center on most teams right now but he's only 21 with just 1 year of NHL experience. I don't think Montreal would do that though.
