Calgary trades:
Mark Giordano and
Sam Bennett

Toronto trades:
William Nylander and
Ilya Mikheyev

Salary evens out pretty good
Bennett and Nylander both go home
Toronto fixes their defense
Calgary gets a top 6 RW and another RW who's good on the PK.

Easily. brodie been a fabulous partner for MR and on most nights is the leafs best all round D. Great pick up by leafs. The flames best D is tanev and he was signed as a free agent .

If I’m trading Nylander ( which I wouldn’t because the leafs are playing amazing) Rasmus Anderson would absolutely need to be included there is no other way I’d move Nylander to flames. ( Obviously Tkachuk isn’t a realistic ask ) .

Nylander is right, the most realistic piece would be Andersson but I don’t think Flames part with him at all.

A 2nd line winger with a reputation for being lazy doesn't get you a young top pairing defenseman who's still improving and on a very team friendly contract? Not even close.
