You have to be a Devils fan to make that statement, Leafs aren't interested in a bottom 6 Winger like Miles Wood.

Idk Pinball, you sure aren’t Dubas. The Leafs could definitely be interested in Wood at the right price, at 50% retention he’s basically a 1.3M guy, same cap hit as Engvall and would be a great addition to the bottom six. Hits, fights, is fast as hell, has good analytics, can play up and down the lineup. Sure I’d also like a ‘better’ guy, but guys like Wood aren’t slouches. Why did Tampa ad Blake Coleman and Barclay Goodrow last year? They had a great team, and sure, Coleman and Goodrow aren’t Kucherov or Point, but they bring things that cup contenders need, things that Kucherov/ Point esque players don’t.

I’m all for Miles Wood in fact. Taylor Hall and Mike Hoffman would be fine, sure, but getting a good versatile, speedy but gritty guy like Wood or even like Scott Laughton would be nice. I’ve said before I don’t like Crouse, and that’s only cause of his speed, but I do think that at the right price, the mix of skill, speed and grit that guys like Wood being is irreplaceable.

I agree with topshelf although I think Wood is a much better player then Hoffman.
