Flames shouldn't trade Kuznetsov. He's a big fast physical shutdown defenseman (which the Flames are lacking) with the potential to be a very good NHLer.

Not sure I'd want to give up Zary either, he could turn out to be pretty good too.

The Flames don't need Eichel anyhow. At best he's a minor upgrade. At worst he keeps getting injured and going downhill.

Lmao at best he’s a minor upgrade. He’s over a PPG player on one of the worst teams in nhl history last season and has almost no injury history. He’s much better then Iginla ever was and would be instantly become the best player in flames history. Sean Monahan is a 2nd line centre. There are over 30 centres better then him. There aren’t 5 better then Eichel.

355 points in 375 games isn't a PPG player far less over a PPG.

Funny you should bring up Sean Monahan again since for years running his point totals were virtually identical to Eichel's. Monahan a few more goals, Eichel a few more assists but identical totals 2 years and 1 point difference another. This year, playing injured Monahan has more points. Monahan plays through injuries, Eichel sits and pouts.

Eichel even when healthy isn't in the top 10 for centers. Top 15 sure but not top 10. In fact he's the 15th most offensively productive center but when you take defensive play into account too a few guys who produce less are better too.

Eichel has never scored more than 82 points. Coincidentally he did it the same year Monahan did. Eichel averages around 23 goals per year, Monahan 25.5. If you take this year out they're both a bit over 27.

Vb. Eichel may get as good as you claim, however he needs to prove it.

Eichel requires surgery so I’m not sure how he can play? You’re also comparing his stats as a rookie compare the last 2-3 years atleast not When he was 19’year old entering the league. Eichel put up those points on a team equivalent to a ECHL team without him. It’s amazing how he took a ECHL team on his back and still put up those numbers. Not even Gretzky did that.

Monahan requires surgery too, yet he kept playing and it's not the first time he's done that either.

Monahan's rookie stats are in those numbers too. In fact Eichel actually had more points in his rookie year.

"Last 2-3 years" You do like cherry picking. Even so, in 18-19 (2 years ago) they both had 82 points with Monahan scoring 6 more goals. Coincidentally, that's the highest producing year for both players.
