My point here is this is probably the lowest value the leafs would expect in return when trading Matthews and Marner, any trade value lower then this is an instant no from their side imo.

Umm why is everyone undervaluing Matthews and Marner so much. They’re in their low 20s and have made the playoffs every year almost.
Eichel has played a year more and never contributed at all to pushing the Sabres towards playoff contention.

Buffalo accepts instantly, laughing all the way. Then turns around and trades Marner.

Even if Toronto was dumb enough to accept the Matthews trade, it'd fall apart when Fox refuses to report to Toronto.

Fox is a great dman, but Matthews could fetch a kings ransom without even adding Rielly. No shot Toronto trades him.

Eichel trade is an overpayment too imo. If Toronto swaps Marner for Eixhel, the add is probably one of those pieces. Like Marner + Lilj for Eichel. Doubt Toronto trades an 11 mill guy for an 11 mill guy though, itd be downsizing if they trade Mitch if anything.
