Not totally sure on the value of this year's draft picks, but would be a great opportunity to help Seattle compete out of the gate with Freddy Anderson signed as a free agent.

Buffalo will want more than this year's 2nd overall for Eichel. Not saying he's worth more than that, just that Buffalo will want more.

And Freddy Anderson, there will be better goalies than him available in the expansion draft.

Ryan Murray, Barkov, Sam Rienhart, Laine, Patrick, Svechnikov, Kakko, Byfield

This is a weak draft and Eichel is worth a lot more then the 2nd overall in a good draft.

@Nylander I didn’t say the pick would be the entire package. I just said that the idea of getting the top two players who have played together and have good chemistry would be an enticing way to start a conversation.
The problem for Seattle would be they don’t have a prospect pool so it could make a deal hard to workout.

The thought is to have the kraken more competitive from the get go similar to Vegas. The thought of bringing in a more than capable 1st line player who asked for a change of scenery. With the expansion draft happening, Buffalo can try and work a player from another team if available.

Andersen is a backup goalie now. You might need more in net to be competitive tbh.
