Philip Danault has apparently put his house up for sale in Montreal. His next contract is reportedly around 5-6 @ 5.5 AAV. Idk how to feel about that.

The cap is still flat, I don't think most of these guys are going to get the contracts they think they will.

Disappointed in Phil. He won't get a better offer than the 5M x 6 years he turned down. Nor should he.

I’m not sure about that. there are a lot of so called experts who think Hyman will get a 7 year deal at 6 mil. if he can get that daneult should be able to do better then 5m x 6,I guess we will get a better idea once a player or two signs.

@Habby2 No way Hyman is getting 7 years OR 6 mil AAV, far less both in the same contract.

5 years @ 5 mil/ yr is about where he should be. Maybe someone overpays and gives him an extra year, an extra 500k/ yr or something but nowhere near 7x6.

I wouldn’t. I’m just saying there are insiders out there who are predicting teams will. I mean there are guys like dregar for example who has been talking like Hyman is the most sought after FA on the market lol.
