Buffalo can easily flip Monahan and might be able to flip Lucic aswell if salary is retained.
I can see Monahan fetching a 1st, and a couple prospects, meanwhile Lucic maybe a 2nd at most with salary retained. It would be a very smart business move from Buffalo. Buffalo would basically be getting :

I think it’s good value for both teams. It’s a bit of an overpay for Eichel but the extra 1st goes to getting out of Lucic contract so it balances out.
You’re overvaluing Monahan a tad, but I think he could easily be traded for a weak 1st (20-30s) and a B prospect.
All said, Buffalo would be dumb to not accept a Lucic + 3 1st + 3 B-C prospects.

Huge massive overpay for an overrated, overpaid, injury prone player with a bad neck, bad attitude, weak ankles who's never lived up to the hype around him and seems to make the players around him worse rather than better.

I think Eichel's value has tanked a bit recently, but this seems about right, and may even be an overpayment. A 1st to dump Lucic is accurate considering what it took for Ghost/ Ladd imo, Then, Monahan, Zary, 1st and Kuznetsov for Eichel may be slightly rich, so maybe you could drop Kuznetsov for a weaker prospect, since I've heard good things about him?

Then Monahan likely gets flipped for another 1st (Probably less than Reinhart got), so in the end, three 1sts, Zary and another middling prospect + taking on Lucic's contract seems about right tbh.

Pretty good value, and with the way that Buffalo's handled negotiations, I think they'd be foolish to not take a deal like this.

I really don't like the idea of trading Kuznetsov. He's my dark horse pick to be a really good shutdown defenseman in a few years. I see him as a -potential- future Larry Robinson / Zdeno Chara type. Not saying he will be that good, or even a top 4, just it's possible he will be.

He was a 2nd round pick but if he'd been a North American I think he would have gone in the first round.

It's not often you find a player that big who can play and nobody is really sure where his ceiling is either. He's one of those guys who kept moving to the next level as soon as he was old enough to be eligible.

These trade offers are overpayments for Buffalo's injured star. Eichel's excuses are piling up. First its his line mates, his teammates, then the coaches, next the GM's and now his agent. Teams should stay away from him. He's an injured malcontent that will drag most teams down. Only teams like the Pens, Lightning or Bruins who have solid leaders that wouldn't take any of his self promoting silliness. No team should overpay for him.

Buffalo fans seem to be out of touch with reality if they think the Flames are going to give up all that for a player that may never play again.
