Well, it's ambitious, I'll give you that. Never happen in a million billion years, though. Toronto doesn't have enough roster players or draft picks to get McDavid.

Right lol, could you imagine!? If the Oilers can beat Toronto tonight without McDavid, Tyson Barrie or Derek Ryan maybe they don’t need any of them lol.

An offer sheet over $10mil for an RFA is 4x 1st Round Draft Picks, so the basis is there in my trade when you consider Toronto would be sending:
-A 1st Round Pick
-Marner - Former 4th Pick Overall
-Nylander - Former 8th Pick Overall
-Campbell - Former 11th Pick Overall.

Value is pretty close after adding it all up but both teams say no anyhow. Edmonton won't trade McDavid (yet! ) and Toronto would balk at trading Marner, Nylander and Campbell for anyone.

I appreciate your comment and agree @MoxNix, Toronto is doing well in the standings so wouldn’t want to make any major changes. Just seen the “Trade McDavid” comments starting out there are on forums, so wanted to be the 1st to propose something to ponder and what it might look like to get McDavid. I think Kerfoot is under appreciated. He’s not an amazing deal @$3.5mil, he earns his money IMO.

Roses are Red and Violets are Blue… The Oilers are wasting McDavids Prime and Draisaitl’s too.

McDavid is an Amazing Player, but if Edmonton could get Matthews, Marner, Nylander and a 1st for McDavid and could make the Cap work, they would absolutely take that in less than a heartbeat. It wouldn’t even take that much because Matthews has huge value himself but I just can’t help envisioning him having an absolute tantrum if he were to be traded out of Toronto.
