I do agree that he is an impact hockey player when healthy, but he is the Kelly Gruber of hockey.

Anderson is a player Sutter would love to have on the Flames, but not for what everyone thinks it’ll cost to acquire him. He’s got great size, but he’s overrated and I think he’s a $4-4.5mil player.

Ehlers is >>> (very much better than) Anderson, like 1.00PPG vs. 0.50PPG Better.

Ehlers is a fantastic player, but a guy like Anderson makes a big difference in a playoff series.

Anderson didn't produce too many points in last years playoffs, in fact his production went way down the past two playoffs he played in and considering neither Winnipeg or Montreal will likely make the playoffs this year, Josh Anderson won't make a difference this year at all.

In any event, I stand by my opinion that he's inconsistent and overrated and not worth as much as you guys all think, but we'll see when some of these trades start to happen. Can't wait to see some moves already.

Anderson was a force in the playoffs with hits, intimidation, defending. He kept opposing defense looking around and making hasty passes. There's more to hockey than points, and hockey people value guys who make a difference at playoff time in a variety of ways. He's a great piece on a team planning on 4 playoff rounds in my humble opinion.

I understand your point, but just so we're clear, I said he's a Good player worth between $4-4.5mil/ yr, so I agree he's a good overall player and would be happy to have him join the Flames, but I still think he's overrated and not a GREAT player or worth as much to acquire him as everybody is saying. He's definitely not worth Ehlers straight across IMO.

Here's an EDM paper reporting a rumor of Bourgault, a 1st, plus another piece for Josh Anderson.

I respect everyone attaches a different value to different guys, but I believe it would take quite an offer to get Anderson.

Time will tell, but I don't see him being dealt unless they burn it to the ground in MTL.
