That’s a lot of moves but I like the roster.

Really easy no from Edmonton IMO.

-Dallas says Giddy Up and takes that Trade in a Heartbeat!
-Seattle politely declines and will get a better offer.
-Arizona says Thanks, but Calgary has already made us better offers.
-Edmonton laughs and asks to confirm you're joking or what you're smoking. There's got to be much better Goaltending options for a 1st + Kassian and Stalock. Mrazek's value has plummeted IMO.

Maybe the Giordano trade, ya. But your other trades, absolutely not. Especially the deal with the Oilers. Edmonton gives away a first rounder Why?

@BOSSMAN67 isn’t it safe to say Kassian is “overpaid” so they give up that contract, get rid of Stalock who they clearly don’t want and give up a first to take both of them while getting back a decent goalie whom imo is definitely an upgrade over Koskinen and Smith. Plus everything works out capwise. 4 games isn’t enough to judge Mrazek and to say he’s “struggling”.

15 Jan 2022 23:39:59
I'd say Kassian is slightly overpaid @3.2mil, $2.5mil would be better, but other than whatever happened with him last year, at least he produces around 0.50PPG, which is more than Toronto can say about Nick Ritchie this year in comparison. Stalock is a depth goaltender who was waived for Cap reasons and to likely get some playing time, as it appears he hasn't even played a game in a couple of years. EDM will need Goalie Depth, especially if the Taxi Squad comes back in to play.

Mrazek would not do any better in Edmonton than Koskinen other than saving the 1st Goal on the 1st Shot Curse that Koskinen is under. Mrazek played for an excellent defensive team in Carolina, hence his stats back then and furthermore why Frederik Andersen and Antti Raanta are doing so well there now. Mrazek hasn't played well since the 2020-21 Regular Season. Look at his stats in his 2 playoff games that year and his stats for the 1 game he played with the Toronto Marlies this year. That's 3 more horrendous games in addition to the 4 terrible games he's played for the Maple Leafs this season. Maybe he can rebound, but until then his current value is way down like his current play has been.

Kassian has 579 games played and 195 points in his NHL career. That's only .3367 PGG. Considering how often the oilers put him out there on the top line with McDavid that's pathetic.

17 Jan 2022 22:33:23
Kassian hasn't played with McDavid hardly at all this year and has 13 points in 27 games = 0.48PPG. He had 34 points in 59 games just a couple years back = 0.58PPG.

I will agree he hasn't been the definition of consistent, but he hasn't always been playing with McDavid all the time either.

Like I said, $2.5mil would be more appropriate. Pathetic would be paying $5.5mil/ yr for that guy in MTL = Josh Anderson who isn't doing much better than Kassian this year.
