What would leaf fans here think about moving Muzzin out to a team ( let's say New Jersey as they could use a vet on the left side to compliment their offensive dman ), definitely would expect a minimal return. Then putting out a package with Sandin as the main piece along with a combination or ( Knies, Robertson, Hirovinen, 1st and Niemela ) for Chychrun?

Would this be a net positive bringing in a top pairing guy like Chychrun in exchange for Torontos most Physical dman ( cap trade off that is ). If so is also moving the invaluable ELCs worth it in this situation?

Teams don't trade a player like Chychrun for a bunch of only great in overhyped Toronto untested prospects.

Sandin is a fair starting point islandjet. As far as your prospects argument, teams trade for them all the time. It’s not just Winnipeg that has good players and prospects.

Sandin, Knies and the first would be ok as adds but the main piece would have to be something better than any of that.

We will see MoxNix if he is indeed moved this off season I doubt the main piece is much better then Sandin unless it’s a 1 for 1 swap.

Leafs bias aside i'd like to throw him in a class with Romanov and Ty Smith. I think Romanov because of his rarity has more value then both but I’d say all 3 have similar value.

The question is would this be an effective use of asset management and I’m directing this mostly at leafs fans. What are your thoughts Toronto 17?

Romanov >> Sandin

Romanov is quite a bit bigger and plays a more physical game. Probably more skilled too though it's tough to compare the two when one plays for a team near the top of the standings and the other for a team that's only 2 points away from being dead last.

I love a healthy Muzzin vbb’s, I don’t know that he’s bouncing back this time. I’d much rather keep our young players, than give up what Mox suggested for Chychrun. I’m not as concerned about their D as I have been in the past. Sandin and Liljegren may turn into legitimate top 4 guys I’d really like to see Knies before trading him.

Until he doesn’t preform there is no reason to suspect he will regress that’s just negativity.

I think he has regressed vbb’s. I also haven’t been able to watch as many games as I used to watch. I could be wrong.
