Off-season Trade:

MTL trades Poehling, Norlinder, 2023 7th (EDM) + Weber's contract

MIN trades Fiala (RFA)

. Minny needs cap relief and likely can't re-sign Fiala. Weber's contract will provide some cap relief on-going to get through the worst of the Suter/Parise buyouts.

. Minny gets a left shot up front to replace Fiala's LW and a D prospect with offensive upside, plus a pick.

.MTL gets a left shot who is young enough to grow with the team (25) and slot in next to Suzuki and Caufield on the first line.

inny is up against it next year. Whether its this or something else, they'll have to make some moves. The GM's have a relationship too and have the pieces to help each other.
