ARI gets 2 Decent Young D-Men with Upside to replace Gotisbehere and Chychrun when he gets traded + an AHL Star RW Prospect who hasn't & likely won't get the opportunity he deserves in Calgary.

CGY gets a Better Scoring and More Experienced LD to pair with Tanev + Two Big RFA's to replace Lucic and Ritchie. Looking to sign Crouse long-term and extend Gotisbehere and Fischer if they fit well in CGY. Could swap Dube for Kylington as well.

Gostistbehere performed up to his contract where as Lucic didn’t come close. Arizona could get a better package dealing Crouse individually IMO.

Feel like Kylington is pretty close in value to Crouse and Gotistbehere + Fischer (potential rentals) might be equal value to Lucic + Phillips. ARI could flip Lucic 50% retained and might hit a home run with Phillips.

Wondering how to move Lucic and which Team would be open to taking him on and what they might have of value/ interest in return. Erik Gustafsson would be a much cheaper version of Gotistbehere though, just not as gritty.

Looking to sell high on Kylington, move Lucic and I just don't believe CGY values Phillips, so send him to a Team who will give him a chance to play.

Fischer (Grew up with Tkachuk) can't have much value and needs a change of scenery, Crouse is Big, but is only a 0.50ppg guy. Don't know much about Gotisbehere, but I wasn't that impressed by Rasmus Andersson as the PP QB. Gotisbehere is very good offensively and would be protected defensively by Tanev, like Kylington was.

Signing Swede Erik Gustafsson for $800k-$1.2mil is the cheaper option. Could still Trade Kylington for Crouse, but then we're still looking to move Lucic.

I guess we just stick with Lewis or cross our fingers with Duehr at 4RW instead of trying to help Fischer (only 25) revive his career in CGY.

Gostisbehere makes Tyson Barrie look pretty good. Andersson is a far better player.

I like Andersson 5-on-5 (except for one week), I’m just not that impressed by his PP&PK Abilities. CGY needs a PP Specialist and Big Shot, which Stone finally provided. Only getting 1-2 PP Goals each from your Power Play D-Men just doesn’t cut it for me. Give Erik Gustafsson $1mil and let him split time with Mackey or run 7 D-Men and 11 Forwards and keep 1 Forward + 2 D-Men Scratches.

Kylington is small, falls and doesn’t skate well when transitioning backwards. Hanifin is Smart, Young, Reliable + on a Good Contract, but he disappeared in the playoffs, so I wouldn’t be opposed to Trading him as well, while their values are at their highest.

I take Gostisbehere over Barrie all day long. He’s 2 years younger and must be better defensively than Barrie. Hard not to score or not get assists playing on Toronto or Edmonton’s #1 Power Play Unit.
