CGY's Toffoli + Kylington (or Valimaki + 2nd) FOR TBL's Brayden Point and Sean Day

CGY may need to add, but should try to take advantage of TB looking to clear Cap Space for upcoming RFA Signings and the fact that Point is often injured, so maybe TB considers moving him & his large cap hit out by passing him along for players who fill 2 positions for less than his salary alone. CGY takes a Gamble on Point and receives a Wild Card in Day. This assumes Gaudreau walks of course

Tampa says hell no. I personally think something like Mangiapane, Kylington and 1ST would get it done. Maybe add another prospect to that aswell

Tampa won't trade Point and Calgary won't trade Mangiapane.

Once Gaudreau is gone they'll try to sign Forsberg if he goes UFA too. If they can't get Forsberg there should be quite a few good UFAs available this year.

Gaudreau walking isn't a big loss, it's a big opportunity to improve the team with a true sniper or top 6 center.

TB just Traded Ryan McDonagh for basically nothing = a 2017-2nd Round Pick who had a terrible 1st AHL Season + Phillipe Myers who holds little to no value as he could have been claimed off waivers for Free in March

TB would definitely ask for Mang, but unless it's clear he's not going to sign long-term with CGY, he's not available, hence why I offered Toffoli instead + TB'd need a replacement Right Shot Sniper. TB is also going to need a ton of Cap Space to sign all their upcoming RFA's, so are making moves now

I'd consider taking the older Stamkos for my proposed price as well. Looking to take advantage of TB's situation, not help them out or be fair. Otherwise MoxNix is correct in that we can use the savings from Gaudreau leaving to go after other guys with no acquisition cost and just keep our low cost and above average players in Toffoli & Kylington.
