Monahan have a NTC or NMC? If not maybe PHX is an option. Depending on how much you're willing to give up you may be able to get Chyrchun from them as I believe I read that he's pretty well fed up with being in the desert. PHX may take you to the cleaners though to take Monahan's contract.

Chychrun, Crouse, Fischer and maybe Schmaltz are the players Calgary would be most interested in.

Maybe something like:

Chychrun for Hanifin + 2023 1st + 2024 3rd

or Chychrun for Kylington + Valimaki + 2023 1st + 2024 2nd

If Arizona takes Monahan or Lucic too Calgary could add a nice sweeter.

Actually it might be better to trade Hanifin for a top 6 RW. The question is who?

Timo Meier would be great but probably not available, at least not at a reasonable cost.

Meier is another Left Shot LW + his QO is $10mil. Had a Great Year, but not consistent enough to warrant that much IMO.

If we go with another Left Shot, it needs to be a Better Playmaker and/ or Centre who will play 2nd line for $5-7mil like JT Miller or Nazem Kadri or on the cheap Stastny, Alex Kerfoot 25-50% retained, Jonathan Drouin 50% retained or Trade for Jason Robertson, Peyton Krebs

Otherwise we’re looking for a Right Shot, like Tarasenko, P. Kane, Garland, Konecny, A. Tuch, J. Bratt or on the cheap Rodrigues, Kessel or a Trade for Martin Necas or NJD Prospect Fabian Zetterlund.
