@matardor12 he was literally just called up a few days ago dude lol, he hasn't got his shot yet but Sutter is known for not playing smaller players. Instead he's been playing Walker Duehr, but he'll get his shot hopefully next game. Phillips is a PPG player in the AHL and Sutter played him on the 3rd and 4th line for 2 games before sending him back down lol.

MATADOR - agreed.

CASUAL - good AHL stats are fine, but not a predictor of NHL success. Why hasn’t he been given a shot in the NHL by the team that holds his rights?

He may be great, and he may not, whereas Kuzmenko is doing it now in the NHL, and they need all the blue chippers they can get. Not sure why they’d make that trade.

If you’re that high on Pelletier I’d hang on to him.

@Chickenfoot i wanna see how Pelletier looks but the Flames playoff window is right now before those big contracts start looking like crap so that's the only way i see him traded.

CASUAL - I hear ya. I'm really curious to see him play with the big team too. I saw him play twice in Junior and once in the NHL, but I didn't form a strong opinion about him one way or the other. I'll be curious how it works out.

It seems like a lot of CGY fans are big on him, and I can't tell if it's a matter of every fanbase over-valuing their prospects, or if there's something else to this kid that isn't apparent to me. Regardless, trading a kid with promise at that age is risky at best, so if he's as good as CGY fans seem to think he is, I'd keep him in the fold.
