So, the Predators, who are just slightly below the Oilers, for the last playoff spot, are going to send a solid defensive defenseman and a solid 3rd line player, for cap dumps and some picks.
Ya, I think if I am Nashville, I just continue on and end up ahead of the Oilers anyways.

Kulak is a downgrade for sure but he’s also 4 years younger and 3.5M cheaper (2.25M after retaintion) than Ekholm. Trenin and Foegele seem fairly comparable except Trenin is 800K cheaper. Ryan is in for cap reasons but he’s makes 1.25M so he’ll be easy to get a pick for.

This trade would probably make more sense if Nashville slips in the standings a little more. They haven’t been contenders in a while now and could use a shake up. Josi and McDonagh are horses on LD and Kulak can take most of the minutes left from Ekholm. Nashville also gets cap space.

this is the target you might be able to move Puljujärvi in. add a first and kulak and youll likely have a deal.

Tkachuk has been a great fit in FLA. No chance they’d trade him less than a year after making a big move to acquire him.

@ chickenfoot, I think you replied to the wrong trade proposal.

Yep, you are correct Renidrag ?.

It was good for a laugh, plus 3 people agreed with you?.

That IS funny, but regarding Tkachuk, he was a big move for FLA. He's really fit in great, but FLA really needs to fix their D and find some way to get partial cap relief with that gawdy Bobrovsky contract.
