@Chickenfoot yeah, I've been seeing Campbell get lit up in the AHL and thought it'd probably take a bit. I only see Edmonton doing this because they're in win now and getting a RHD back but it's definitely a steep price. Poor Campbell, got to feel for the guy.

It’s hard to imagine how it came to this, especially since EDM has such a history of dealing with bad contracts and buyouts over the years. Everyone knew of Campbell’s mental fragility if they’ve watched any post-game interviews with him following a loss, especially in the playoffs.

The Nurse contract is also a debacle. It’s time to explode the myth of paying “the EDM tax”, and overpaying players to attract or retain them. Under a cap everyone has the same $ to spend, and you can’t win a cup with multiple bad contracts on your roster.
