Even though Gallagher & Anderson are not worth their salaries anymore, cap space isn't an issue for the Habs in this stage of their rebuild.

Both can be traded when they're on expiring contracts in 3 more years. There's no need to recklessly trade assets to clear cap space when it isn't needed. If anything, the Habs will likely help other teams clear space in exchange for picks or prospects.

Olivier would be a good add for most teams for their 4th line. The thing with the Habs is their young prospects to fit the role of a 4th liner besides the younger of the Wifi brothers. Habs are still a few years from being back in the playoff hunt so they can hold onto! He aging pieces and hope they bring their stock up to unload at the deadline or the draft.
