Nashville Trades
O'Reilly
McCarron
Toronto Trades
Kampf
Jarnkrok
Holmberg
NRobertson
1st Round Pick 2026
Very similar to The O'Reilly trade The Leafs did with The Blues a few years back, no salary retaining in this proposal just a good old fashion trade.
Thoughts ?

Even if orally is available for trade he has upped his value since that trade. Right now he seems to be playing as a high end 2c.

Nashville declines. If they move O’Reilly they’ll do much better than this. They’ll get a nice package of a high-end prospect for their rebuild, a 1st and a 2nd.
This trade, predictably, is generous to the leafs and ignores what NSH would need in return to make such a trade work.

Chickenfoot
Of course you dissected as O'Reilly being more than he is and The Leaf Players being less than their value.
Am I surprised by your response?
Absolutely not as this is your thing no matter what I post.
Cheers.

@Chckenfoot so you’re telling me Malioux, protected 1st and 2nd would be a fair trade for O’Rielly in a vacuum?
If anyone offers them a “High end prospect”, 1st and 2nd then the Preds GM would drive him to the airport personally.

Average pinball trade:
Everything the Leafs have on the trade block in exchange for a forward.

- Pinball, why post one-sided, homer trades like this if you’re just going to whine? Embarrassing.
- People don’t have a bias against your team. Learn the lesson here: your trades are always inordinately heavily weighted towards your team, with little or no thought give as to what another team might need.
- IF O’Reilly were to move; as a Conn Smythe-winning center he’d be immensely valuable for a cup run if slotted correctly in a 2C situation. He’d bring a healthy return.
- a 1st is a given, but you didn’t include compensation for the cap dump that Kampf currently is.
- Robertson’s trade value has been covered. He’s not a trade “asset”. He’s an insignificant throw-in who will be lucky to get an NHL contract next year. (Is this news to anyone else? )
- Holmberg is 25 with just over a hundred NHL games. He is what he is, but he’s not a coveted trade asset.
Quantity doesn’t equal quality, and as Tom Hanks famously said, “there’s no crying in baseball! ” (Or a hockey trade forum. )

As usual you're ? wrong.

Justin Williams won a conn Smyth that doesn’t mean he’s worth all of that. O’Rielly is closer to Williams age than Bedard. O’Rielly we’ll be retired in 3 years he is nothing at this point besides a mediocre 3C who’s elite in the Dot. He has value but if Nashville is offered a 1st from any team they should take that and play their younger guys imo.

VBB…. or whatever name you’re going by tonight…are you okay?
- Williams is 43, and in the Hall of Fame. O’Reilly is still playing. They’re 10 years apart…what are you talking about? Do you think the market values are the same in this season as a decade ago? ?
- not sure how Bedard got into this conversation…. or Williams for that matter. Or why you asked what I’m saying about a “Mailloux trade”, which I’ve never mentioned on this site. Not sure what your deal is, maybe it’s time to start a few more burner accounts on here? ?.

If O’Reilly turns it around and has a decent season he might get a 1st but good chance it’s only a 2nd IMO.
