Chi: Jones, teravainen nyr: kreider,trouba....ny said they want a hockey trade. Cap hit nearly the same.jones is superior to trouba, teravainen off to a slow start but is 3 years younger then kreider. Chicago does this for less term for when they need to pay the young kids.

I think there’s a fit to be had between NYR & CHI, but CHI will need young players or picks. Trouba and Kreider at 30 & 33 aren’t the right fit for a rebuilding team.

Perhaps Trouba and some sweeteners to dump his contract, as long as CHI isn’t on his 15-team no trade list?.

I get what you're saying cf, I think getting 4 years of Jones for two years of trouba is worth it in the long run for chicago. Trade clause have to be worked out. Im chicago fan so trying to figure out how to get rid of Jones contract. He doesn't seem to fit the rebuild, but still playing 25 mins on a terrible team. not when Injured. Trouba is on a sharp decline but a 230 pound shooter would really help chicago.

They are giving 2 30 year old for 2 slightly older players with shorter contracts was the basis.

I hear ya Shoots, and it’s a pretty clever fit.

Since the shakeup tends to favour the better team, I’ll say that CHI gets a prospect or a 2nd for their trouble.

In particular, the swap of Trouba for Jones is pretty exciting for the Rangers. CHI would also be able to make an attractive trade for Kreider with some retention you’d have to think. This is a pretty clever fit Shoots?.
