Kampf will have to waive his NTC if Nashville isn't on his list, O'Reilly doesn't have a NTC or NMC.


Toronto has a window to add to their forward group and even though I like Minton a lot The Leafs will have to add him imo for The Preds to bite on trading O'Reilly.

Nashville in not a rebuild as much as a retool and this type of proposal helps with that in imo.

Nashville has 3 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks in this year's draft to accelerate their retool. O'Reilly is part of their core to bring the team back to a contender, he's not likely on the trade block and if he is, with the talent already on the Predators roster I'd be willing to bet they'd rather do a "hockey trade" for a roster player to get them back on track instead of a prospect + future draft pick.

This trade only helps the Leafs and it only helps the Leafs because of current injuries. As much as you want to spend your time offering the whole trade block for 1 player, they don't need another forward.
