Montreal trades with ny islanders
Montreal trades: 16th ,17th overall, Mailloux,Josh Roy, Owen beck , laine (if it takes more I’m listening if I’m Hugues)
To islanders for : horvat and Dobson (signs at same cap as Caufield)
This still leaves habs with cash to go sniff around rangers about panarin ( 1yr , 11.6) or Lafrenière (7yrs , 7.4)
For: Newhook , engstrom ++

The Islanders would do better trading each guy separately. The only really desirable pieces are the two picks and you're trying to dump Laine on them as well.

I can't see the Islanders having any interest at all in that.

Not sure what the Habs cap situation is looking like, but Ekbald would be a great add for them on the backend. These playoffs he's really come into his own. Reminds me of Pietro as of late. Gives them the option to deal less assets to go after a 2nd line center ?‍♂️.
