PIT: Rob Scuderi (salary dump) D-L & Beau Bennett R-R
BUF: Mike Weber D-L & Chris Stewart (50% retained) R-R
Stewart and Weber add grit to PIT and Weber returns home to Pittsburgh. Buffalo gets an NHL ready prospect and a veteran D-man that Murray could flip at the trading deadline.

Pens aren't going to give up Bennett and scuderi for an expiring contract and a depth defenseman.

Bennett is probably as good or better than Stewart right now and is still developing, and Scuderi has actually been playing very well this year and weber has no value to Pittsburgh.

Hockeynut12 you may be correct. I know PIT was considering Stewart so trade Jake Guentzel instead of Bennett and drop both defense-men.

Hockeynut12 PIT has made inquires regarding Stewart, what do you think could be added to make the trade work? BTW Stewart is getting 3rd line minutes with 3 line players with Nolan as coach. I imagine he would do much better with either Crosby or Malkin as his center. Finally, Weber is playing well also and trading Scuderi could free up cap space for Martin.
