Boston will not trade Bergeron as long as they are a contender. But the proposal is pretty good. But.

You could get Eberle straight up for Lucic, Boston would have to add. Lucic is under-performing, and sagging the Bruins down as oppose to be the dominant power-forward we have seen before.

EDM would never trade Eberle, Perron and Klefbom for Lucic. That would be a huge overpayment. Also no cap space for the Bruins. For Bergeron it is not enough.
