And I doubt Chicago fans are very happy. This year's first as well as one of their better D prospects. They better at least make the WCF for what they've given up. Chiarelli, Bergevin, Yzerman, and the GM'S who put faith in their current roster are smart to not blow such valuable assets on this expensive rental market.

Good depth move, I have a feeling kane will heal sooner than expected.

Vermette can play wing, center, win faceoffs, he brings speed.

plug him in anywhwere on that roster and he will fit right in.

I have a feeling the Hawks will re-sign Vermette after the season to replace Richards so it's not a bad move, IMO. Hefty price, but that's just the way things are this deadline. Overpayments are required.
