This only happens if the Oilers' somehow lose the salary of Nikita Nikitin.

Oilers have trouble getting the first pass. Or even, the quality pass from the defenceman. Carle has a very good offensive ability but can occasionally turn over the puck. I also believe Carle played under McLellan when he was a rookie. There is already chemistry there.

This also allows Tampa Bay to resign Stamkos and Kucherov.

Unfortunately Carle has a no trade clause. I would jump on getting a second for Carle right now

IMO, TB should keep Carle until next summer and trade him then. Cap for this year is fine.
If we can get such a good return without retaining money on him right now, tho, you have to do it.
Like it for both. Play him with Sekera and he'll be a good complementary piece.
