to Arizona
Voynov

to LA
5th rounder

EXPLANATION
Voynov would be a nice piece to Arizona's future. Unfortunately, he may find himself unable to play forever. LA gets a potentially free 5th rounder, Arizona has a chance at an almost free stud defenseman

I'd say it's worth the gamble for the Coyotes so no from LA

Depends on how likely LA thinks it is he'll play again (and if they'd let him play again) plus how tight they will be cap wise

voynov did his time for what he was charged with, and will be back playign soon enough (once his achilles heals, i'd assume). the NHL can't suspend on the basis of past criminal charges which they have already suspended the player fo, and for which the player was formaly sentenced for. he does have 3 ears probation I believe, but that won't be a problem for him to play, it would be a huge problem for a regular person, as it involves crossing international borders, but the courts will surely make an exception in his case, unless there is some part of the case that i'm missing.

What if he gets deported though.

@shankar
You're right that he can't be further suspended by the NHL for time served, but there is still the question of whether he shall be deported or not due to domestic battery being a felonious offense. He agreed to plead no contest in exchange for having the charges reduced to misdemeanor charges rather than face trial for felony charges, but it is still an offense he could be deported for. In fact, after his release for his misdemeanor charges, immigration picked him up and he is currently in a different detention center (without bail) awaiting the decision of an immigration judge. His fate is in the hands of US immigration now, there's nothing he can do.

As a Kings fan I don't know how to feel about Voynov coming back because we do need a good top 4 defensemen, but with all the crap going on with Richards and all the people saying it's not fair that we got rid of Richards and haven't terminated Voynov.
