Some people here think calgary is a good trade partner for Toronto, so nylander, 2024 1st and 3rd, calgary hanifin and backlund 50% retained. Then Matt Murray to chicago for 2026 1st. Or trade nylander for future picks. Calgary has said not retaining but if there's enough of a sweetener maybe they can help each other.

I think that’s too much coming from Toronto, Hanifin and Backlund @ 50% retained for Nylander would be more than fair, in my opinion anyways. The Flames are apparently hesitant to trade with Treliving which is very odd, they’re interested in a couple of Flames.

Just to take salary seabass . Maybe a second, Toronto is way over cap so maybe so have to do something and Murray is a guy to get rid of for a draft pick but nearly 5 mil tough to eat except maybe a few teams. Toronto gonna take a hit for clearing room. If they trade nylander for picks they are still over, not many options for them . So my opinion Toronto is gonna get peces and pieces or a top 4 defenseman on any team which hanifin is or top 2 on most, plus backlund that's premier defensive forword. Put domi on the wing and a crazy top 6.

Seabass, Toronto has very few draft picks so that's why a 1st. Chicago got mrezek players will sign for less to play there. Mrazek was a 1st but longer term so you're probably right, 2nd is fair.

I just thought de are way harder to find so hanifin and a 1st are ok for nylander, backlund at 50% and hanifin at 50% are definitely worth a 3rd. And need that 5 mil in Toronto so a first or second doesn't seem unreasonable.

Jeez, chicago gets a first to take Murray, calgary has nothing to do with that. Chicago isn't giving a 1st for Murray as a part time goalie, they get a 1st to take him.
