Just with a ticket. And a year-long ban from leafs games. May as well have had them put their noses in the corner for 20 minutes, too

Wouldn't be the first time, though in other incidents at other arenas it's generally other things that get thrown (i. e. garbage).

3.) 20 Jan 2015
It wouldn't been a worse punishment if they made that person go to every home game for the next year.

Yea its pretty hilarious. leaf fans have every reason to throw jerseys on the ice, last night was pathetic, I didn't see any sort of desperation hockey.

i feel for the non wealthy paying fans who attend a monday night games vs carolina for half the cost of a saturday game against the habs because its all they can afford if they want to go see a game live and get an effort like that out of a leaf team full of players who don't care in the least.

dion, kessel, kadri, gardiner, lupul, franson, should be traded (at this point I could care less about return ) and call up half the marlies team for the rest of the year. let guys who are DYING to play in the nhl play, at least you know youll get serious effort.

firing randy doesn't look so hot right now unless they're planning a tank, and even then, they'll screw that up by winning their last 5 games of the season and drafting 6th-8th overall

rhetorical question: why is it that the more players get paid in toronto the less they feel they have to put in an honest effort?

Yes 3 people got charged.

You seriously think they had a right to throw there jerseys? That's just brutal don't go to games if your going to be disrespectful. I don't agree with them being fined but ya banning them for a year is a perfect punishment

I think they do have the right to throw their jerseys they paid for them at 5 times the cost it takes to make one. I don't agree with throwing them while play is on but in between whistles go for it. charging these people is brutal banning them is fine. ovie I think the issue you bring up is that most people can't handle the pressure from the media in Toronto and when they sign those big deals the pressure is even more. that's why guys like Raymond and santorelli can come in on cheap 1 year deals and overachieve. its a lot like no montreal player can have a 100 point season[almost 30 years]I bet Crosby wouldn't score 100 in montreal
