Gaudreau most likely becomes a 100+ point player playing beside Eichel. And he’s a big name for Buffalo. Calgary gets a 2nd Line LW, needed Prospect and a Pick.

Pick one of those pieces and add a little. All three is a huge overpayment.

That is not an overpayment, if you look back at the last two years trade comparisons + Buffalo needs to make bold moves to show Eichel that they are serious about winning.

From a Flames perspective, they get a downgraded LW but that’s ok because it’s time for the era of Chucky as the 1st LW, so a second line LW is fine so long as you get a prospect and a first round pick.

I like it for both.

You are smoking something if you really think that is a fair trade, lol. Yes, Gaudreau is a great player but he had a down year. Olofsson could be a star in the making and fits great with Eichel, Cozens, by all accounts, will be a star and the 8th overall pick this year will could likely become a star too. Very much an over payment for Gaudreau. Don't believe Buffalo would do the trade even if you took out Cozens, just too rich from Buffalo's standpoint.
