I have a Trade Proposal that I would only do if I know NRobertson is ready to be a Top 6 Winger in the NHL.

Detroit Trades
Hronek
2nd Round Pick 2021

Toronto Trades
Hyman
Holl
Sandin (AHL)

Thoughts ?

Don’t really like it from either team. The only player Detroit would want from that is Sandin and even then there D prospects are good. And if I’m leafs I’m not giving away Hyman he is one of the few that puts everything in shift after shift for them.

From a Wings perspective, we would only be interested in Sandin but Hronek is not what we would pay to get him.

Right now he’s our best Defenseman and we are trying to build a D-core with him. So we won’t be moving him at this time.

Unless you give us an upgrade on him, we will just keep him. Obviously adds on our side accordingly .

I wouldn’t do it if I were the leafs. Not saying Det would.

Hyman is an important piece that kinda gets under appreciated but would miss him big time. After the Kadri trade there was a noticeable hole and lack of fire or energy. Hyman isn’t as talented a player but brings a lot of that competitive spirit that’s needed to compliment the stars up front. And Sandin won’t be a #1 stud but I have no doubt he will be a good top 4 dman. He’s only 20, give him time.

By Extending Muzzin and bringing in Brodie and Bogosian, they bought some time to let Sandin and Liljegren grow. Rather than say “they have to play top 4 at 20 and 21 or trade them for someone who can”.

I’m not saying the value is crazy off here or that Hronek is the best defenseman.

Just that we’re unwilling to part with him barring an overpay as we currently do not have a ready replacement for him just yet.

We like Hyman but we have similar style in Bertuzzi so we will just keep what we have.

We are mostly looking for high end Center/ Dman prospects right now.

Fully sgree Datkyuk. I don’t think either team would be willing to do this at this point. But the value is pretty close.
