Trading either marner or matthew's will not happen imo.it also won't make the team better short term if it did. like who would you get back that would be better right now? Here's a crazy thought instead of filling out the roster with underachieving playoff performers and analytic darlings.why not add some guys who have won something before that can actually mentor the younger guys.

I agree that trading those 2 more than likely won't happen.
I honestly don't know what the answer is in Toronto.

The problem with analytics is it's terrible at recognizing the value of rating things like size, strength, speed and quickness far less intangibles like attitude, experience, heart, grit, will or competitiveness.

Analytics can be a very useful tool to help spot useful players that might otherwise be missed but they don't tell the whole story.
