Very interesting from CGY's perspective. Bowen is a great young dman to have for a rebuild/retool. If they can get a young center prospect for one of their older Dmen, this would be a great fit for them. Unfortunately, I'm not sure Colorado does this one, even if Lindholm would be a great fit on their 2nd line, their left defence position would be a bit thin, considering Girard is underperforming

Byram is worth eons more then any player in the flames system. He’s a 21 year old top pairing dman who was the Aves 2nd best dman during there cup run. (He had conn Smyth votes as a 19 year old) .

Lindholm is a free-agent after this season. I think he’ll be looking for 8-10 and Ave won’t pay that. Byram is cheap for a few more years.

He is a good young dman, but how good is he? Toews and Makar hide him from tough matchups. The question for Avs is to get a mediocre center or one that might solidify the group for cup run.

Byram if available should bring in a player like Zegras “in a vacuum”.

Both young players off to slow starts although Zegras is heating up as of late.
