it sickens me to say this but I think a player from the leafs could really help out the sens

that player is nazem kadri. murray wanted him back in 09 and didn't get him

a young top six forward who I think would fit well in ottawa . the problem is ottawa and toronto aren't the greatest of friends so ottawa would likely have to overpay

so i'm really stumped on this one, don't really know what to send over

so heres my scenario but I really want to know what you guys think . what's your proposal? what can get kadri over to the sens?

anyways here it goes

1) if ottawa FINALLY decides they are FAR from a contending playoff team and deal andy in a deal for a high pick for example :

wpg: andy and chiasson

ottawa: pavelec, petan, 1st 15

then we deal that 1st to toronto and add so something like this

nick paul, matt puempel 1st 15

for kadri

2) ottawa keeps andy and offers them

cowen, paul, second ( dal)

for kadri

again not sure what is would take just would like the offence to look something like this

mac turris stone
hoffman kadri ryan
michalek zibby chiasson
smith legwand lazar

dont get too mad if i'm over or underpaying for him. appreciate other deals for kadri and feedback

I can see cowen on the leafs. But I'm not sure about Kadri in Ottawa.

yea there's no way WPG does that one, although I do like the 2 kadri deals offered if toronot were to commit to at least a semi-rebuild, which obviously wouldn't be the worst thing.

@Moves_Like_Jagr, I to am a proud Sens fan. I to would like to see Kadri in the Sens line up. However before I see that happening, Ottawa has to unload some of their centres. They currently have 6 centres on their roster without adding Kadri.

I'm a firm believer that Murray didn't want Kadri, but actually wanted Cowen. Told Burke he wanted the other (Kadri) to make sure he got HIS man. Why would he tell another GM what player he wanted to take?

Aside from that, I don't think Kadri is a legitimate top 6 FWD that Murray is looking for.

I don't even know if the Jets trade Petan by himself for Andy and Chiasson, he's a very high potential prospect who lit up the WJ. I would do Andy, Chiasson, 3rd, for Pavelec, Petan, 5th

Easy no from WPG. Pavelec & Anderson both have 12 wins this year, have similar stats, and similar salaries for the next 2 years. However, Anderson is 6 years older, has 1 more year on his contract, and hasn’t had to play a good chunk of this season without his team’s top 4 defensemen (injuries).

And nothing against Chiasson; he’d fit in just fine on the Jets third line. But not at the cost of Petan OR the 2015 1st.
