Deadline deal for the habs?

MTL: Markov, 2nd, Eller

WSH: Green, 3rd, 5th

Why do the habs do it? They need a guy who is a good defensive defenseman that can Subban out when he messes up or goes up into the neutral zone, 3rd to get them a C+/C prospect, 5th just because they can. And move Galchenyuk back to center.

Why do the caps do it? They get someone who can replace Green for 2 years until he retires in Markov. They get 2nd which can be a B/B- prospect and Eller to fill that 2nd line center spot and can win a lot of faceoffs

Thoughts?

Markov won't be traded he will retire a hav

2.) 16 Feb 2015
You do know that Green is an offensive defensemen right? How can he back up Subban for his mess? Plus they probably won't play on the same line, since they're 2 righties

3.) 16 Feb 2015
Markov is better than green alone

4.) 16 Feb 2015
Big no from Habs, Markov is so much better than Greene in every way.
maybe Habs can send Pateryn & Thomas to Caps for Greene (if Gonacher is out long-term)
