I know a trade between Toronto and Montreal doesn't happen often but I thought this could help both teams.

JVR for McCarron, Kassian and Semin

I think Montreal is in a win now mode with Price in his prime. JVR brings another big goal scorer to their top 6 on a good contract. This doesn't affect their current roster either. I don't see their 3rd and 4th liners producing like this all year and they finished 20 something in goals for last year.
For some reason I'd like to see Kassian in Toronto. At least he could bring some grit and possibly live up to his potential. I think Shanahan and Babcock can straighten him out. Probably his last chance at an NHL career. I've mentioned before that I don't know much about prospects so you tell me if McCarron is the real deal or not. Maybe another prospect instead would be a better idea. Semin is just for cap reasons.

3 useless heavy bags 2 of them poison, for a 30 goal scorer with a golden contract. Post seems too long for a troll, that's unfortunate. Can you believe the Habs gave up a pick along with Prust for Drunk Krashian?

McCarron is the big center Montreal have always wanted and he's progressing way faster than expected. However, to get something, you got to give something. I guess at this point that it's pretty much McCarron for JVR. IMO, Toronto would ask for more.

This is 100% McCaron for JVR. Leafs pass

Kassian is in rehab and Semin is a future KHL player.

My apologies, I thought this McCarron guy was good. I realize Kassian's problems but sometimes it takes a kick in the ass to wake up a youngster. JVR will probably be on the decline before the leafs contend. I'm not a troll, just try not to over value leaf players.

Habs pass, McCarron will be a huge impact player, probably by these coming playoffs (something Leafs don't know much about won't for another 40 years)

maybe Thomas, Tinordi and Sherback for JVR
