I don't think the value is far off on the 1st one but philly has lots of young talent on defense, I don't think they want Schultz. Yakupov and a 2nd is probably not enough to get Simmonds. I agree he is exactly the type of player Edmonton needs but they are hard to come by and teams will have to overpay for a guy who is physical and puts up big numbers.

A couple of things:
-Trouba is in Winnipeg not Carolina, and won't be traded for Hopkins.

-And the 2016 draft is the Matthews draft. I doubt Arizona trades one if the best young defenseman in the game, especially with their group of young fowards.

-Also not enough for Simmonds (unless you drop Shultz)

-I don't hate the Ottawa trade.

Agreed Schultz wouldn't be a good fit in Philly but he doesn't have negative value… hopefully at least. Coming from someone that doesn't like him.

I would be happy if Ottawa got pouliot for a 3rd and Neil. We would have a good top 9 guy that could play top 6 when needed.
