Why would Toronto give their best prospect after Matthews for a guy that was free agent and got an crazy freebagent get contract plus he's barely a top six player in every team in the NHL and he's hockey sense isn't not that great. Overall one of the worst trade in history of the world and the atmosphere.

Nylander is better today, has the potential to be far better in the future, makes 900k and Is happy here. He's younger better and cheap. And in the age group of the core going forward. Terrible offer. Matthews and marner are untouchable and nylander would cost any team a fortune. This isn't that.

Toronto doesn't need Boedker.

They would be more than happy to exchange 4th liner Nylander for Timo Meier.

Nylander will be traded before the year is out. He's a B+ player and excellent trade fodder. Poor results for a player on his 3rd pro team. Yes, their are other pro-leagues besides the NHL.
